At the 47th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva 2019, Prof. Janusz Sikora from LUT presented the design solution of the active grooved feed section, which was developed within the Newex project by researchers from Poland (LUT) and Portugal (UMI) during secondments in Slovakia in SEZ Krompachy a.s..
This solution, entitled “Adjusting mechanism of the barrel of a single-screw extruder” was submitted for patent protection at the Polish Patent Office under number P.425591. The International Jury appreciated this solution and awarded it with a gold medal. Additionally, it won a special prize for the best technical solution awarded by The 1st Institute Inventors and Researchers in I.R. Iran. Congratulations to all co-inventors.
